Stunning photos of the supermoon in Glasgow

The biggest supermoon of 2020 appeared in the sky last night – and Glasgow has some stunning photos to prove it.

Eagle-eyed skygazers would have seen our satellite at its best from around 7pm – and it even stuck around this morning too.

It was the largest our satellite would appear all year as it is at its closest point to earth on the elliptical orbit, known as its perigee.

Readers captured the moon in its best light in some spectular snaps – glowing behind the silhouette of a bird, framed by the Squinty Bridge or shining through tres.
