Stunning images from top of Liverpool's highest crane as Infinity Towers development gets underway

These are images from the top of the 262ft-tall crane building three huge new towers in Liverpool.

The stunning pictures have been captured from the top of the Infinity Towers crane on Leeds Street, a development set to transform part of the city's skyline.

The scheme is centred around three huge towers soaring to 27, 33 and 39 storeys - the latter set to be Liverpool's third highest structure once complete.

According to developers Elliot Group, it took two and a half days to erect the crane, with the views from the top as far afield as Snowdon.

The group said the crane is 262ft tall, weighs 145 tonnes, and will be on site for 18 months as Liverpool-based contractor Vermont build out the first tower.

Part-way through the build process the crane will need to be extended and will eventually rise to 475 feet.

Project director of Vermont, Allan Henshall of Vermont told Business Live it was “a feat of engineering".
