These stunning images capture some of the wonderful sights right on our doorstep.
From incredible snaps of puffins to lighthouses and our coastal landscape in all its glory, wild Ireland can take the breath away.
And all of these spectacular images were taken in just one county - Wexford.
Nearly 300 photographers from across Ireland joined the ‘Visit Wexford’ competition to capture the most beautiful shots of the Model county.
And on Wednesday at an awards ceremony in Clayton White’s Hotel in Wexford town, the winning snappers were honoured.
They were: 1st Michael Mroz for Tacumshanee windmill; 2nd Lee Robinson for coloured sky over Wexford; 3rd Royston Palmer for star trail, Dunbrody abbey.
The competition, which ran from March-September last year, invited both amateur and professional photographers to submit photos under four categories: Adventure; Historic; Holiday Experience & Natural Landscapes.
Chairman of Visit Wexford, Colm Neville said: “We were overwhelmed at the extremely high standard of entries to this competition, from coloured skies over Wexford Town; to sun-sets near Galbally myself and the other judges have had an extremely difficult job tonight choosing a winner.
“Receiving entries from the length and breadth of the country demonstrates what Wexford as a county means to people; a multi-faceted place with a truly unique and special range of scenic locations that were captured so beautifully by camera and will always be treasured in our county.”
