Stunning Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku comparison made by Robbie Keane before Spurs beat Leeds

Former Spurs striker Robbie Keane reckons Antonio Conte could work his magic on Harry Kane just like he did in Serie A with now Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Kane, 28, played the full 90 minutes against Leeds in the 2-1 win but failed to register a goal involvement in the Premier League yet again in Conte's short time in north London.

The England international ha sbeen in impressive form for his country but at Spurs, something has been missing for a while now.

Kane was clearly left disappointed after his move to Manchester City in the summer failed to materialise but Conte's appointment seemed to have lit a spark in the 28-year-old, who was excited by the ambition shown by Daniel Levy and the board.

His only noticeable contribution under the Italian so far has been registering an assist in Conte's first game in charge in the Europa Conference League in the 3-2 Vitesse home win.

It's a mystery why he hasn't kicked on so far but Keane's prediction on what could happen to the £150million man can only excite Spurs fans going forward for the rest of the season.

In the build-up to the game on Super Sunday, the Irishman drew comparisons of how Lukaku blossomed under Conte's guidance into a world beater and he reckons the same could happen with Kane as well.

"If you look at Conte when he went to Inter Milan and what he did with Lukaku, he made Lukaku play in between the 18 yard box and that’s all he was worried about," Keane said on Sky Sports.

"When Lukaku was in the Premier League, he is used to do a lot of running outside of the box - right-wing, left-wing.

"Harry has adapted to playing that kind of No. 10 role, Conte will say 'I want you as far up the pitch as possible and stop dropping deep' because you have players like Son who naturally drop off.

"You need your number nine, your focal point and Harry is that. You wouldn't be surprised if he scores a couple today and then goes on a run."

Kane may not have scored against Leeds but these predictions from Keane could spell good news for Spurs fans, who are desperate to see their striker get back on the right track.

Conte helped turn Lukaku into the Serie A MVP winner of last season and the Belgian only finished second in the Italian golden boot race behind Cristiano Ronaldo.

If a similar pattern were to happen here, you would assume that the highly thought of striker would get himself back into the golden boot race for this campaign with favourable fixtures against Burnley, Brentford and Norwich providing the perfect opportunity for Kane to turn his form around.
