'Stunning' - Forza Garibaldi's latest display has Nottingham Forest fans feeling emotional

Nottingham Forest supporters’ group Forza Garibaldi have unveiled their latest brilliant display at the City Ground - and it has certainly got fans feeling emotional.

Forza have put on some incredible spectacles at the stadium over the years, and their newest one is no different.

A huge banner with the words “we all follow the Forest” has been hung across the Trent End, made up of pictures of Reds supporters.

Chris Hughton’s side will continue to play games behind closed doors for the rest of the season, having gone more than a year without playing in front of a home crowd.

But they are well aware of the backing they are receiving from afar, with Forza’s display put up in time for tomorrow’s home clash against Norwich City.

Forza wrote on Twitter: “The last twelve months has been difficult for everyone. In a footballing sense we have been denied so much. The joy of attending games, seeing friends and the release that Forest brings. Football means little without its supporters.

“During the original lockdown last summer we asked you, our fellow fans, to help us by submitting your Forest related photos for an unidentified project.

“So many of you listened and did just that...

“Thousands of Forest fans have been included on our latest project. Something we badly wanted to do to reflect how difficult the last year has been for us all and to recognise the brilliant support we have all continued to provide from afar.

“Hopefully it can also provide a positive message for the players too in the final leg of the season. But mainly this is for you all, every last one of you. Whether you are featured or not.

“We all follow the Forest. Then and now. Come what may.

“Thanks to Forest for their cooperation and to @eco_printing for their hard work and magnificent quality once again. This should have been up on Saturday for the Reading game but the bad weather caused us to delay.”

It prompted a big response on social media. Here’s what other fans have been saying.

@woolly80: Once again @Forza_Garibaldi out do themselves. All of this is done for free in their free time. So proud to be a #nffc fan on days like this.

@TrentHutson1: My ground by the river <3 #nffc

@petermblackburn: @Forza_Garibaldi doing #nffc fans proud, yet again. Thank you.

@Cpmitche11: Another superb banner

@NicholasDAshley: Unreal effort again

@ForestGemini69: Fantastic absolutely stunning #nffcfamily
