Stunning footage shows dolphins playfully entertaining guests on popular Welsh boat tour

Stunning footage of dolphins playfully entertaining guests aboard a popular Gower coast guided boat tour has been shared on social media.

Gower Coast Adventures is no stranger to encountering sea life on excursions between Oxwich Bay and Worm's head, with the 'Gower Big Three' of harbour porpoises, common dolphins and grey seals frequently sighted in the region's crystal clear blue waters. But rarely are they captured in such amazing detail.

The Sea Watch Foundation boat operator has recorded "consistent sightings more than ever before" with one lucky tour group being within arms reach. You can get more Welsh news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.

It's not the first time visitors aboard the tour have been spoiled to the sights of dolphins, with footage being shared last month alongside a rare sighting of a white porpoise.

"It happens every year, we encounter a number of dolphins but it isn't something we typically guarantee seeing. One thing that is unusual is that there there have been more consistent sightings, more than ever before" said Lizzie, senior wildlife guide.

Gower Coast Adventures operate under Sea Watch Foundation regulations which ensure safety, conservation and monitor whales, dolphins and porpoises in the seas around Britain and Ireland.
