Stunning drone footage shows Glasgow's west end blanketed by snow

Stunning drone footage shows the west end of Glasgow blanketed by the snow.

The beautiful 4K video, shot by Hawkaye Scotland, shows several city landmarks amid the winter scenes witnessed in Glasgow over the past couple of days.

The likes of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Kelvingrove Bandstand and Glasgow University are captured in the two minute video, with the camera taking a flight in and around Kelvingrove Park.

Hawkaye Scotland are behind dozens of incredible drone videos taken across the country, showcasing national icons such as Glencoe, Loch Achray and Castle Stalker.

However, much of their work is conducted in the skies across Glasgow, as shown in a fantastic video shot in May titled Thank You Glasgow, a tribute to the work of NHS and care staff, key and essential workers throughout the city amid the covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Glasgow is expected to continue being a 'winter wonderland' over the next 24 hours, with the Met Office having issued a further yellow weather warning for ice, in place from 6pm today until 11am tomorrow.
