Study shows Raiders thrive when playing back-to-back road games

After two consecutive home games to open up the season, the Raiders are about to enter the toughest stretch of the season. Oakland will play back-to-back road games against Minnesota and Indianapolis before playing the Bears in London.

For most teams, back-to-back road games can be brutal. The second road game is nearly unwinnable for most teams. However, that hasn’t been a problem historically for the Raiders.

According to a recent study by Sleep Junkie, the Raiders have the third-best win percentage (50.3%) when playing back-to-back road games since 1960. The only teams with a better win percentage are the San Franciso 49ers (54.5%) and the Dallas Cowboys (50.4%).

If the Raiders is going to stay competitive this season, they are going to need to survive these next four games as they won’t play in Oakland again until November 3. But if history has shown us anything, the Raiders should fare well during this tough stretch of road games.
