Study Inn opens student flats in former Experian building

Study Inn, the hotel-style student accommodation developer and operator, has added another 288 rooms to its portfolio.

The group's cash purchase of the former Experian headquarters building in Nottingham city centre was followed by extensive redesign, remodelling and extension of the building.

It now has studios, shared serviced apartment bedrooms, a wellness spa with sauna, steam room and hot beds, yoga studio, games room, gymnasium, big screen cinema, meeting rooms and conservatory.

The project opened with 98 per cent occupancy and was delivered despite the effect of the covid-19 restrictions.

It will now be held and operated in Study Inn's 'portfolio 2' alongside recent developments in Bristol and Loughborough which have opened during the past two years.

Further schemes in this portfolio will open in 2021 and 2022 in Exeter, Leeds and Leicester.

Study Inn founder Edward Jefferson said: “It's very encouraging to know that we can fund, develop, let and operate our properties in these uncertain times.

“It's an endorsement of the Study Inn brand standard and the level of service we provide.

“We are delighted with this project and it's a quality addition to our portfolio 2."
