The Tennessee Titans entered Week 7’s contest aiming to get their season back on track against the Los Angeles Chargers, and they did just that on Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee.
In a close game with a wild ending, new starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill and the Titans topped the Chargers, 23-20.
Here’s a look at just a few of the players who shined on the victory — and those who could have done things differently.
Stud: QB Ryan Tannehill

Tannehill’s decision-making, timing and delivery was excellent in his debut as the Titans’ starting quarterback. He was 23-of-29 passing for 312 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
Dud: K Cody Parkey

Parkey was brought on as a short-term solution, and that showed on Sunday when he missed an extra point attempt that could have made all the difference in the outcome of the game. He did make his lone field goal attempt, though, along with his other two extra point tries.
Stud: CB Logan Ryan

Ryan was a factor from the start of the game, recording a tackle for loss on the opening drive, and denying receiver Keenan Allen a big second-down catch. He was a disruptive leader on defense, posting a total of eight tackles.
Dud: Mike Vrabel’s decision not to challenge the spot in the fourth quarter

Tannehill went for a quarterback sneak late in the game on fourth and inches, but was ruled short. The spot was controversial, and it’s reasonable to believe Vrabel could have won the challenge if he’d tried. Instead, the Titans defense was forced to stop Rivers and the Chargers offense again — something they narrowly accomplished.
Stud: DE Jurrell Casey

Casey was otherwise quiet on the performance, but came up with a play that changed the game.
Titans linebacker Wesley Woodyard forced the fumble in the end zone by running back Melvin Gordon and Casey recovered it to allow the Titans to win the game in a situation that previously looked dismal.
