The Arizona Cardinals had several players stand out in their 27-21 win over the New York Giants. Some did not do as well. Who were the studs and duds against the Giants?
RB Chase Edmonds

Edmonds was the star of the game. He didn’t start but was the workhorse. He had 27 carries for 126 rushing yards and three touchdowns, all for at least 20 yards. He also caught two passes for 24 for a total of 150 yards from scrimmage.
His only mistake was when the Giants blocked a punt. He missed a block.
Dud: David Johnson

This is perhaps unfair but he did only play three snaps and have one carry for two yards. After reports that he was expected to play, most expected him to get a normal load. That was never in the plans and so it was a letdown. Luckily, he was not needed.
Stud: Chandler Jones

He had four sacks and forced a fumble. He has 8.5 sacks on the season and leads the NFL with four forced fumbles. He was around Giants QB Daniel Jones all afternoon. It was one of the most dominant pass-rushing performances ever seen from a Cardinals player.
Dud: P Andy Lee

Lee did not have his best game. He had one punt blocked, which wasn’t his fault. However, punting from the 38-yard line and needing to pin the Giants back deep — something he typically excels at — he never gave the coverage team a chance to get to it. It was five yards deep in the end zone. He also had a poor 29-yard punt in the fourth quarter. His 26.4 net average was pretty bad.
Stud: Patrick Peterson

Peterson didn’t get an interception but he seemed to change the defense. He also picked up a few stats. He had seven tackles. He executed a corner blitz perfectly in the final minutes of the game, forcing a fumble. Pre-Peterson, the defense was pretty bad. With Peterson, it looked like it could many things.
Dud: Kyler Murray

I want to be fair. He did not play poorly. He managed the game. He did not turn the ball over. He led the team to a win. However, he finished with only 104 passing yards and 28 rushing yards. The two sacks he took were foolish mistakes. He wasn’t a dud because he played poorly. He was a dud because he didn’t electrify us this week.
