On Wednesday (March 2) police received reports of two robberies that took place outside a school in Wardley.

Police say a phone and earphones were taken and no one was injured.

Officers are investigating and following up a number of lines of enquiry regarding the incidents.

Sergeant Lisa Quinn, from GMP's Salford district, said: "We're aware that these robberies will no doubt have caused some concern with students and parents but would like to reassure them that we're doing all we can to find those responsible.

"We would ask students to be vigilant whilst local officers carry out a number of lines of enquiry."

Anyone with information can report it online or via our LiveChat service at www.gmp.police.uk. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
