As Christmas approaches, many students choose to take on temporary jobs. The festive season can be expensive, and those wanting to raise a few extra quid can’t always be as picky as they like.
It might be flogging products in a department store or looking after a pack of reindeer dressed as an elf. Or even being repeatedly fired at with paintballs as a “human bullet impact tester”.
Not every Christmas job requires green tights or a Santa suit, though. The retail sector opens up large numbers of extra roles to cope with demand and even the grimiest pubs and bars need extra pairs of hands during what is their busiest time of year.
