Student tests positive in Kokapet international school

HYDERABAD: A student of a private international school in Kokapet has tested positive for Covid-19.

Health officials said the school is unwilling to reveal his class and added that they have already tested about 100 staff members of the school.

“As soon as we were informed about the positive case, our team reached there. But students were already sent home by then. We tested about 100 teaching and non-teaching staff today and on Thursday and all of them tested negative,” said Dr Swarajya Lakshmi, district medical health officer, Ranga Reddy.

The DMHO said that on Thursday after a positive case, the management sent all children home in haste. She cited it as a reason for not testing students.
