A student who wanted a milkshake delivered to her door was shocked when the Deliveroo bill for the one drink came to £18.50.
Tanyah Boman knew there would be a delivery charge when she ordered the shake from a nearby restaurant but never expected such a huge surcharge to be added.
Now others are being warned to look out for the addition - which some restaurants can add on to any bill they like, reports MEN.
Tanyah 18, is currently studying at University in Birmingham. She ordered a large Oreo Milkshake from Munchies Takeaway & Dessert - at £4.45.
On top of that there was the expected delivery charge of £2.50.
But what she wasn't expecting was the £11.55 'small order fee'.
Tanyah said: "Honestly, I just wanted a bl**dy Oreo milkshake. Even my boyfriend was gonna get one delivered to mine but then he saw that he was like 'sorry but you can live without it'."
The restaurant is classed by Deliveroo as a Market+ client. This means they can set their own minimum order fee and delivery.
