Student's shock at the view from 'Manchester's cheapest hotel' - but at least the room was nice...

A student was left shocked after staying at Manchester's 'cheapest hotel'.

Lauren Bradshaw, who is from Bolton, paid £25 for two people to spend the night in the city centre.

She said everything was 'decent' until she looked out of the window.

Millions of people have now watched her video on TikTok where she reveals the view from room number 218 at the Travelodge.

She wrote: "I booked a room at the cheapest hotel in Manchester.

"It was £25 for two people.

"The room was decent [to be honest].

"Although... the view from the window was Strangeways Prison."

Writing in the comments, one person said: "I expected way worse for £25."

Another person agreed, saying: "Not bad for £25."

Somebody else commented: "Actually a decent location, about a five minutes walk from town."

And another said: "To be fair I never get the view thing. Who books a hotel to look out of a window."

The criminology student replied saying she 'actually liked the view' and said the hotel, which is on Great Ducie Street, was 'very clean'

Rooms at the Travelodge Manchester Central Arena site start at £24.99 every night of the week.

The Travelodge were approached for a comment.
