Student found ALIVE 3 days after violent stun gun kidnapping - 100 miles away

A student feared dead after he was shot, kidnapped and drugged by a gang three days ago has been found alive more than 100 miles away.

Wanzhen Lu, 22, was ambushed in a car park by the vicious yobs and bungled into the back of a black van.

The business student, who has posed on social media alongside a Lamborghini and other expensive cars, was then shot with a stun gun and drugged.

Police in Toronto, Canada, became gravely concerned for Wanzhen when he was reported missing.

"Abductions like this, especially with this level of violence used are very rare in this country," one officer said after Wanzhen was found.

Wanzhen was feared dead as, after a huge manhunt, no evidence of the student was found anywhere in three days.

Aircrafts were even deployed in Toronto in the desperate hope to find the man.

But today, Wanzhen was found around 110 miles away in Gravenhurst, Ontario, by a shocked homeowner who recognised Wanzhen from the appeal.

Somehow, the victim had escaped his ordeal with minor injuries but is said to be extremely traumatised.

Gravenhurst is more than an hour and a half half away from where the student was abducted.

But he is unaware how he ended up in the city.

Speaking today, Lu’s overwhelmed parents, who flew to Canada from China, said: "Our investigators have been able to provide this great news to the family."

However the four thugs responsible remain on the loose.

A 35-year-old man from Toronto was arrested but has since been released without charge.

Police declined to comment further on what prompted the arrest.

The attack was believed to have been unprovoked in the car park near Wanzhen's student accommodation.

Constable Andy Pattenden said the investigation has drawn upon organised crime and intelligence units.

But he added: "We’re very concerned that they’re still out there."

He said: "I can tell you it’s because of the relentless pressure from investigators, the relentless pressure from the media, and relentless pressure from the public continuing to push these images out, continuing to have the eyes and ears of everybody in the GTA helping in this investigation that has brought us to this point and Lu found in good health.”
