Hamilton head coach Stuart Taylor says he's been made aware of rumours surrounding a potential takeover at Accies - and he will discuss them with the club's hierarchy after a narrow loss to Kilmarnock.
The New Douglas Park side showed improvement from their dismal 6-1 home hammering off Partick Thistle in Championship action last week, but still lost 2-1 at Rugby Park.
Jamie Hamilton had levelled after Oli Shaw's fourth minute opener, before Daniel Armstrong netted 14 minutes from time to seal a Killie win.
Prior to kick-off, it was reported that two parties were interested in buying out Hamilton from long-time owner Ronnie MacDonald, who has been in charge for 18 years.
He is said to be considering the approaches, but Taylor says he hasn't caught wind of anything.
"I don't read the newspapers," said Taylor after the match at Rugby Park. "I don't really know anything about it. I got a phone call asking if I had read the papers.
"I didn't know anything about it. But I am in contact with the club directors every day. I will be speaking with them after the game. But I don't know anything otherwise."
Taylor was pleased with the performance his players put in against Kilmarnock, but says the small margins are costing his side points. Hamilton are eighth in the Championship and two points off bottom.

"I am really, really disappointed," said Taylor. "I thought we were the better side throughout the game. We created chances and had shots at goal. We dominated possession, which was good.
"Unfortunately, their winning goal comes from something we spoke about before the game. We want to show the wingers down the outside, not their stronger foot.
"We want to specialise in not letting crosses into our box and it's disappointing as their goal creeps in. We are really disappointed with the result.
"To lose an early goal and come back from that was a great response. We spoke about doing what we want to do. We came out the traps but we were punished. After their first goal, we were the better side."
Taylor's side face Queen of the South on Tuesday before a trip to Greenock Morton next Saturday. After losing heavily to Thistle in their previous outing, Taylor was pleased with his team's response.
"I am much happier in terms of how we went about our work," added Taylor. "I am happier with how we went about things and controlled the game.
"It's a confidence boost from last week, but it also shows the reality of it. That was a reality check for us and we asked the lads to respond in a positive manner.
"They did that, and part of the response was good. We need to turn the possession and chances into wins."
