Stuart Pearce wins 95 percent of vote in 'greatest ever Nottingham Forest left-back' poll

Nottingham Forest legend Stuart Pearce has been voted as the club's greatest ever left-back by NottinghamshireLive readers.

Pearce's 95 percent of the vote saw him achieve the biggest winning margin of any vote so far as he joined Peter Shilton, Viv Anderson, Des Walker and Kenny Burns in our all-time greatest 11, so far.

A 'Psycho' win was never in doubt, with City Ground legend Frank Clark coming second with a mere three percent.

Joe McDonald and Colin Barrett each managed one percent each, while neither Alan Rogers nor Jim Brennan received a single vote.

Andrew Metcalf: Got to be Psycho.

Davie Harrison: 100% Psycho.

Dave Griffiths: No brainer. Psycho. Absolutely class.

Mike Wood: Does this one really need saying? Psycho, the leader.

Mark Hatton: Stuart Pearce, all day long.

Scott Day: Psycho, hands down. The best in Europe around 1990.

Dave Oram: Psycho!

Richard Ottoway: Jim Brennan second for me, he covered the whole left side under Hart and the way he overlapped for Williams to continually find him was a joy and he was strong in defence. Hart turned him as he looked useless under Platt

Tomorrow we will be asking readers to vote for the City Ground's greatest ever right midfielder, and there might be no surprises there either.
