Stuart Pearce has revealed West Ham's owners have put a block on him returning to the club to be on David Moyes' coaching staff after the Scto took over in east London.
Pearce was part of Moyes' coaching team the last time he was at the club 18 months ago and helped mastermind the Hammers survival in the top flight alongside Alan Irvine and Billy McKinlay.
Irvine has returned, McKinlay hasn't as he has a job at Stoke City and now Pearce won't either after he told TalkSport on Monday morning that David Sullivan and David Gold put the kibosh on any return.
"No, I won't [return]," Pearce said.
"I think the owners felt I was a little too critical of the regime when we left last time and put the block on it.
"I didn't think so [too critical] but they make decisions and you respect that, I respect that.
"The one thing I do respect is they picked up the phone to David, despite not keeping him on after the seven months, they were humble enough to ask him to come back in.
"I am delighted to see David back in work and back in the Premier League which is what he deserves."
Moyes has had Hammers U23s lead coach Dimtri Halajko in the dugout alongside for the first two games of his second spell back at the club as well as Irvine.
Former Hammer Joe Cole has been linked with potentially joining the club in a coaching capacity after he recently admitted on BT Sport that he would only leave a punditry gig for either the Hammers or Chelsea if they came calling.
