Stuart Pearce has said that keeping Mauricio Pochettino must be Tottenham's main priority this summer.
The north London side are looking to strengthen their playing squad after choosing not to make any signings last as a result of the costs of building the new stadium.
But after finishing in the top four and reaching the Champions League final, it seems that Spurs will be dipping their toe into the market.
While making signings will be essential, the former Manchester City manager has said that the priority for Tottenham has to be on keeping the in-demand Pochettino in London.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: "Pochettino would be their best signing of this season. If they start the season with him still at the club it'll be massive. If they end up losing him, for Tottenham that's a real body blow.
"I hope he does stay, I like him as a man and his management style. He's a real plus for the Premier League, I'd hate to see him go abroad."
