Stuart Dallas gives insight into how the Leeds United squad will regroup over the international break

Stuart Dallas has broken down how Leeds United's players will respond to their first league defeat of the season.

After losing 1-0 at home to Swansea on Saturday, the Whites face a two-week break before a trip to Oakwell to face Barnsley.

Some of the squad, including Northern Ireland Dallas, will be representing their countries in the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers, while the rest of the squad will continue training at Thorp Arch.

"We’re not going to change our way, we’re going to continue to play, continue to pass and move, we just couldn’t get that final touch but look, we’ve had a good start to the season," he said, speaking after the defeat.

"Disappointing as it is, we’ll regroup and go again after the break.

"We go away now, a couple of days off. We’ll analyse everything and think about what went wrong and hopefully put it right for Barnsley."

Barnsley, featuring former Leeds players Aapo Halme and Mallik Wilks, currently sit 21st in the Championship table.

The South Yorkshire outfit managed a shock win over Fulham in the opening weekend on their return to the second tier, after finishing runners-up behind Luton in League One last season.

But they've not managed a win since that opening weekend, picking up just two points from the last 15 available.

"It’s never nice, the boys who aren’t going away will have a few days off and come back refreshed at the start of the week," he added.

"The international lads will go away to a different environment and gather their thoughts."

"We won’t dwell, we’ll certainly look into it and what went wrong."
