Stuart Dallas and Kalvin Phillips send messages as Barry Douglas shares training video

Leeds United defender Barry Douglas has shared a video of how he has been keeping fit whilst the season has been suspended.

With the 2019-20 season currently parked due to the coronavirus pandemic, footballers up and down the country have been keeping fans updated with social media posts on their makeshift training regimes.

The latest of those is Whites’ full-back Douglas, who posted a video on Instagram practicing his shooting with his favoured left foot.

He posted the video accompanied with the caption: “been a while,” alongside the emojis of a football and a broken heart.

The video led to a few of his United colleagues commenting, with midfielders Stuart Dallas, Kalvin Phillips and Ezgjan Alioski using the opportunity to poke fun at their teammate.

Dallas commented: “not bad for 8 yards out,” leading to Douglas replying with: “haters gonna hate, I see your shots and it was actually 9 yards.”

Alioski was much more complimentary of his teammate, commenting: “you’re amazing mate.”

The same could not be said about Phillips, who jokingly took aim at Douglas for putting all of his shots in the same position. Phillips added: “think I know where your next pens going to go.”
