Stuart Broad has found himself in the peculiar position of being punished by his own father Chris for using inappropriate language in England's First Test win over Pakistan.

So when Stuart Broad, the England quick, swore after dismissing Pakistan tailender Yasir Shah on Saturday morning, it was in his father’s gift to punish him.
Broad Snr duly found his 34-year-old son guilty of a Level One breach of Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match.”
Broad was given a small fine and a demerit point. He has now accrued three demerit points in two years, and one more in Thursday’s Second Test would see him banned for the Third. He accepted the charge and there was no need for a formal hearing.
