The late Apprentice star Stuart Baggs died of asthma, the Isle of Man Constabulary has confirmed.

Baggs was found in his bedroom by his friend a week ago after attending a launch party the evening before. Police said at the time was not "criminally suspicious".

A coroner found the 27-year-old had died as a result of asthma, a condition he had suffered with for many years.

Baggs launched his own telecommunications company at the age of 18. At 21, he was one of youngest ever candidates to appear on the Apprentice, where he earned his nickname 'The Brand'

Inspector Michelle McKillop said: "From the reaction we have encountered during our inquiries it is clear that this is a tragic and premature loss of such a hardworking and visionary young man.

"We extend our thoughts to the family at this sad time."

Lord Sugar paid tribute to Baggs as one of the "stand-out" contestants from the programme shortly after news of his death broke.
