Struggling with shut eye? These are the best sleep retreats for 2019

The hustle and bustle of life can sometimes lead to sleepless nights. After a busy day, it’s hard to switch our brains off long enough to get a restful sleep.

In the UK, one third of adults sleep just five to six hours per night, according to the Great British Bedtime Report. This is significantly less than the recommended seven to eight hours per night adults need to be mentally and physically refreshed.

Sleep is essential to living. When we don’t sleep, we can feel tired and irritable – and if we go too many nights without sleeping this can lead to illness, weight gain, inability to make decisions and can led to serious health problems.

To help revive your sleep health, consider visiting one of the below sleep retreats in 2019.

Le Grand Bellevue, Switzerland

This summer, one of the world's best spa hotels, Le Grand Bellevue, is teaming up with British wellness partner Bamford and Sophrology expert Dominique Antiglio to create an overnight sleep retreat. With two dates to choose from, the 'B Silent Sleep Retreat' will combine targeted treatments - including a head massage - with a guided yoga session, expert Sophrology workshop and access to the Le Grand Spa in a serene Alpine setting to help combat stress and result in better sleep.

Available on Sunday June 30 and Sunday September 29. The 'B Silent Sleep Retreat' is priced at £535. bellevue-gstaad.ch/
