Struggling with Dry Jan? Three booze-free cocktails to keep you going

It’s not that Dry January is a bore — the lack of hangovers leaves room for new hobbies, like breakfast, or getting to work on time. But booze-free beer is tedious after a time, and non-alcoholic wine is mostly impossible stuff, though sparkling zero per cent bottles are increasingly better and better.

That’s not to say there aren’t decent alcohol-free drinks out there — we’ve listed six of our favourites here — but temptation for the proper stuff begins to creep in around this time in the month. You’re almost halfway there, you’ve done so well already... what harm would a little one do?

Probably nothing, but stay the course. A month off the booze makes far more difference than a fortnight: those early weeks will do some good to your insides, but the outward differences start showing after about week four. Stick with it.

And so, make it more interesting for yourself. Here, cocktail expert Theo Konstantopoulos shares three stellar booze-free cocktails to make Dry January a little less… well, dry.
