Struggling mums in Belfast offered help for baby needs

A Belfast charity has thrown a lifeline to new mums struggling to meet the needs of their baby.

Blossoms Belfast is donating hampers with nappies, formula, blankets, clothes and more for newborns and babies up to the age of one.

The idea is to reach out to new parents who are in some way finding life a challenge from young and single mums to homeless families.

A spokesperson for the Blossoms team, said: "Please get in touch if you know a mum in need, we have hampers packed and ready to go.

"We also have clothing parcels up to the age of one, all packed and ready to go.

"If you know a young parent, single mum struggling family, families waiting for benefits and/or a homeless family with a baby on the way or a baby just born, then please contact us, we would love to help.

"Everything is confidential and ready to go. We are all part of a great team. We can't do what we do without the support of folk donating clothes, nappies etc and our knitters donating their handiwork.

"It's our pleasure to help these parents who need a hand up because we know life isn't easy."

Blossoms Belfast is a charitable organisation run by Trinity Church Belfast and its partners, offering support to single mothers and their newborn children in Belfast city.

They are able to continue their work thanks to donations and have set up an gifting list on Amazon to help bolster the help on offer.
