Struggling fans open up to Gemma Atkinson after she admits 'it sucks' gyms are closed in lockdown

Gemma Atkinson has inspired fans by sharing some words of motivation.

The fitness fanatic posted some rallying words on social media.

While admitting that 'the gyms are shut which sucks!' he Hits Radio presenter urged people to stay motivated during lockdown.

And she said there's always exercise we can do from home.

She said: "I know at times it’s can be hard to stay motivated especially dealing with work, homeschooling and a pandemic!

"The gyms are shut which sucks! I’m so hoping they open ASAP!!!

"Most of us always feel better mentally and physically when we push through and move!

"Even from home it’s possible there’s always something you can do."

The former Emmerdale actress added: "I know it's hard but we're all in this together. Stay motivated! #wegotthis @fitness."

Gemma's post prompted followers to open up to her about their struggles since gyms have closed.

"Gyms need to hurry and open," said one.

"I’m jogging, eating good stuff and putting weight on how’s that work lol."

"Keep motivating us please..." another fan replied.

"I used to be sooo fit but I really lack the motivation these days."

Another told the 36-year-old she was a 'role model.'

"You are so so inspiring I just need to start working out and lose weight but struggling with the mental health," they said.

"It’s a struggle just getting out of bed some days.

"The fact that I have to shield like millions of others as well it just brings me down.

"I just need to dig deep."

"I was in two minds whether to go out for a run today but you've just inspired me to go for it," another messaged.

"Thanks Gemma!"

The mother-of-one from Bury recently told followers she was pining for holidays and photo shoots.

"I miss them!" she said.

"I'm trying to keep positive that we can soon slowly start clawing back some kind of 'normality.'

"It’s very much needed. For everybody."
