Nottingham Forest midfielder Alfa Semedo has a warning for the rest of the Championship as he recovers from injury.
The 22-year-old has missed the last three games after picking up a knock in training before the Reds’ Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal.
He was not available for last Friday night’s 3-2 victory over Stoke City or the trip to Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday, when Sabri Lamouchi’s men came away with a 1-1 draw.
It remains to be seen whether he will return for this weekend’s clash at home to Brentford, with a two week international break to come after that - and a chance to recuperate further.
But Semedo has still promised: “I’m coming back stronger.”
He posted his message on Instagram alongside a clip of him kicking the corner flag in celebration after scoring his first goal in the Garibaldi, when he bagged the winner at Swansea City last week.
The Benfica loanee has made nine appearances since making the move to the City Ground in the summer, six of those coming in the starting XI.
Carl Jenkinson, Michael Dawson, Tendayi Darikwa, Yohan Benalouane, Michael Hefele and Ryan Yates are all currently sidelined with injury, while striker Rafa Mir could be back in the squad against the Bees on Saturday.
