Police are warning residents in Wrigleyville of a string of robberies in the past month.

In each, two or three men approached a victim in the evening hours and beat them before stealing their wallet, Chicago police said. In one robbery, the suspects did not hurt the victim.

The robberies happened:

  • about 6:30 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 3500 block of North Clark Street;
  • between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 1000 bock of West Addison Avenue; and
  • about 9:35 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 1100 block of West Waveland Avenue.

Anyone with tips is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
