Strong-arm robberies reported in Lake Meadows: police

A group of men have been robbing people on sidewalks in Lake Meadows on the South Side, according to Chicago police.

In each incident, two to five men in their late teens and early 20s knocked the victim to the ground and stole their property, police said.

The five robberies happened at all hours of the day between Aug. 17 and Aug. 25, police said. Two happened in the 3200 block of South Rhodes Avenue, while the other three happened in the 3400 block of South King Drive, the 400 block of East 33rd Place and the 3200 block of South King Drive.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
