String of robberies reported in Albany Park: police

Four robberies have been reported in June in Albany Park, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

Police are warning Albany Park residents to be on alert following a string of robberies reported in June.

In each incident, the offender punched the victims before taking their property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The robberies happened:

  • June 6 in the 4500 block of North Kimball Avenue and the 4000 block of North Elston Avenue;
  • June 7 in the 3400 block of West Wilson Avenue; and
  • June 10 in the 4900 block of North Pulaski Road.

All incidents happened in the morning hours between about 2 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., police said.

Anyone with information about these robberies is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
