String of children's toys urgently recalled due to serious safety hazards

Parents are being advised to stop children using a string of toys, after they were recalled.

The recall involves a plush soft toy, a light up sowrd and a remote control toy car - all of them are made by separate manufacturers.

The remote control car has been pulled off the shelves due to fears it might give little ones an electric shock, and the light up sword is being recalled because the paint contains harmful chemicals.

Elsewhere, the red, spotted dinosar toy plush dinosaur toy is being recalled because the zip could become detached, which may lead to a choking hazard.

Storm Off-Road 4WD (remote control toy car)

This toy car is being recalled because of the electrical insulation and the creepage and clearance distances in the charger are not sufficient.

It means that a child might touch live parts and get an electric shock.

The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European Standard EN 62115.

Beamz - Light Up Toy Sword

This light up sword is being recalled because the silver paint contains lead.

A child may put the toy in their mouth. Exposure to lead is harmful for human health and cause developmental neurotoxicity.

The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-3.

Lissipuppe/Lissidoll - Baby Kids Plush Dinosaur Toys

A children's red plush dinosaur toy is being pulled off the shelves because its zip can easily detach.

This could " generating a small part, and the fibrous stuffing material is accessible through the zip on the belly of the plush toy".

A small child may put the small part or the stuffing material in the mouth and choke.

The product does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.

According to the Trading Standards, the toy was sold online, particularly via eBay.
