A stunning display of seam bowling from veteran Adelaide Strikers captain Peter Siddle has helped skittle the Hobart Hurricanes for 126 in their BBL clash at Adelaide Oval.
After winning the toss on Wednesday night and electing to bowl under gloomy skies and amid constant light drizzle, Siddle snared 5-23 - the second five-wicket haul of his Twenty20 career - to have the Strikers strongly placed to snap their six-game losing streak.
Siddle introduced himself in the powerplay and struck with his second delivery when dangerman Ben McDermott - the competition's leading runscorer - miscued a high catch to Tom Kelly.

Siddle then removed the hard-hitting Tim David (28) with a yorker during the power surge before polishing off the tail, castling Mitch Owen (49), Tom Rogers (8) and Sandeep Lamichhane (1) in the 20th over.
The Strikers produced their best powerplay of the summer and were on song from the moment paceman Harry Conway - making his season debut - had Hobart captain Matthew Wade chopping on for one.
Opener D'Arcy Short top-scored with 32 but accumulated a lot of dot balls in the process against some smart, accurate Strikers bowling.
Legspinner Rashid Khan (2-26), Conway (1-24) and Matt Short (1-25) all proved useful foils for wrecking-ball Siddle.
