Striker sends warning
Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor has said that saying the club have turned a corner could put ‘unnecessary pressure’ on the side ahead of the second half of the Championship season.
The Reds are now unbeaten in six games in all competitions, form that has moved them out of the relegation zone and into 20th position in the table.
A 1-0 win over Cardiff City also saw Chris Hughton’s side into the fourth round of the FA Cup.
However, despite the recent form, Taylor is wary of the pressure bought about with the thought that their troubles are behind them.
"If I said the corner had been turned it puts unnecessary pressure on us to keep winning and winning 1-0,” he said.
"There's pressure on every game but let's make no bones about the fact it's a very competitive league and winning by the odd goal is the name of the game.”
Kamil Grosicki update
West Bromwich Albion winger Kamil Grosicki will not be joining Nottingham Forest this January, according to reports in Poland.
The 32-year-old came close to joining the Reds during the summer transfer window, only for the move to fall through due to a dispute over the paperwork being submitted on time.
It is claimed that Forest still have an interest in the player, but reports claim that Grosicki has made a decision over his future and will stay to fight for his place at the Hawthorns.
Forest target prolific goalscorer
Nottingham Forest are targeting Plymouth Argyle forward Luke Jephcott after his impressive goalscoring record in League One, according to reports.
The 20-year-old has notched an impressive 12 goals in 14 league starts so far this season and is tipped to make the step up to the Welsh national team in the not too distant future.
Chris Hughton is on the lookout for attacking options during the January window, and is said to be ‘keeping an eye’ on the forward amid the January window.
