Chris Long has penned a new deal to remain at Motherwell, it was today announced.
The 25-year-old wasn't part of a squad that Motherwell issued earlier this summer sparking concerns from the fans that he would leave after an impressive debut season.
However a cryptic billboard, placed on the town's Airbles Road, next to the Electric Bar and on an approach to Fir Park, appeared to tease the strikers return.
The club have today announced that Long, who netted 11 goals last term, will stay on with Stephen Robinson's side.
He told the club website: "I’m buzzing to be back.
“Finishing third last season and qualifying for Europe was huge. I want to pick up from where I left off.”
