Hamilton boss Brian Rice says having striker Bruce Anderson on board is worth its weight in gold after he rescued a point against St Mirren.
Anderson struck his second goal in as many games to cancel out Iklay Durmus's opener eight minutes into the second half to ensure a point went back to Lanarkshire.
That stretched Hamilton's unbeaten run to three games and drew them level on points with 10th-placed Kilmarnock.
Rice was delighted and revealed that he has thanked Dons boss Derek McInnes for letting Anderson come out on loan.
Rice said: "I'm very grateful to Aberdeen for allowing him to come out on loan in the first place.
"I spoke to Derek about it and I thanked him.
"But Bruce has come here, he has formed a nice wee partnership with Marios Ogkmpoe and he's enjoying his football.
"Bruce is 22, he wants to be playing regularly, and at Aberdeen it's a really good squad so he doesn't get too much regular starting games so I think he's just enjoying being part of a first-team squad where he feels he's going to be playing most of the games.
"I'm delighted with him.
"It would be fantastic if we had someone doing that every other week, but let's not forget the boys at the back."
Rice added: "I think a point was deserved.
"The wind was a major factor, especially in the first half.
"It was a good, honest battle, two honest teams who were fighting for the win, so I don't think anyone can complain."
