BBC weatherman Tomasz Schafernaker could be heading to Strictly this year after becoming a fan favourite during lockdown with his shaggy hair 'do.
The BBC meteorologist's hair grew out after barbers shops closed, and his scruffy barnet led to him being compared to a "seventies porn star" by viewers.
The Sun now reports Strictly Come Dancing bosses are eager to bring in the weatherman onto the 2021 series after he gained popularity throughout lockdown.
The 42-year-old caused a frenzy when he decided against chopping off his new style when restrictions lifted and his rebellious nature just boosted his status among fans.
An insider said: "Strictly producers have had him in their sights for several years but he’s now high up on their wish-list of contenders for the 2021 series.

"It seemed apt to target him this year as he's become one of the most-watched figures during lockdown as his growing mane of hair has been a talking point.
"It's just the latest of several controversies and gaffes which only seem to make Tomasz more popular with viewers."
This isn't the first time Tomasz has caused a stir, with him raising eye brows when he posed "virtually naked" for magazine Attitude.

On top of that, he once flipped off ex-BBC newsreader Simon McCoy, 59, live on air as he flashed his middle finger.
Tomasz hasn't stopped there, in 2017 he was voted Britain's most popular weatherman even though he annoyed residents of remote Scottish islands when he referred to their homes as "noweheresville" in a forecast.
He could go up against ITV's Good Morning Britain forecasters Laura Tobin, 39, and Alex Beresford, 40, when Strictly comes back for its 19th series this autumn - as they've both been tipped for the dance floor.
England's chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty, 55, is also said to be on the producers' wish-list alongside deputy Jonathan Van-Tam, 57.
Last week, it was revealed that Prime Minister Boris Johnson ’s girlfriend, Carrie Symonds, 33, could also be in the running for the 2021 series.
