Strictly viewers think they've worked out 'silly' reason why Greg Wise was booted off as they cry 'sabotage'

Actor Greg Wise became the third contestant to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing as he faced Judi Love in the dreaded dance off, and fans were upset for him.

Both couples performed their routines again in a bid to impress judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge, Shirley Ballas after a public vote.

Judi and her partner Graziano Di Prima performed their waltz to Hero by Mariah Carey.

Then Greg and his partner Karen Hauer performed their hip-shaking samba to Macarena by Los Del Rio again.

Craig, Motsi and Anton all chose to save Judi and Graziano which meant they had won the majority vote and Greg and Karen would be leaving the competition.

Watching at home viewers think they worked out what went wrong and took to Twitter to voice their opinion.

"Poor Greg. Give him the samba to the Macarena plus a silly shirt and he didn't stand a chance," said one.

"It was almost as though combined with the choice of music this week Greg has been sabotaged," fumed another.

"I’m VERY saddened to see Greg go - he had so much more to give," another said.

"That Samba to the Macarena was an absolute clanger and sabotaged his chances."

"Tbf unless you’re like 20 putting him in that outfit with that song and shaking his booty was a no no," a fourth tweeted.

Another viewer branded the outfit as a 'godawful blouse' and 'granddad trousers'

And another slammed: "The song was a poor choice as is the outfit!!! Did nothing to help. Not the dance for you but could have been better sad to see ya go."

When asked by host Tess Daly about their time on the show Greg said: “I have had an amazing time, I feel unbelievably privileged and thank you all for having me."

And Karen told Greg: “It has been a blast, thank you for the amazing lunches, thanks for the quality of work, and for being an amazing student.
