Strictly viewers slam judge Craig Revel Horwood over 'harsh' scoring for Clara Amfo

Some Strictly Come Dancing 2020 viewers were not happy with judge Craig Revel Horwood on Saturday night.

Many fans said Craig seemed a little nicer than usual with his comments and marks for the contestants.

But it was his score for BBC Radio One DJ Clara Amfo that left many viewers shaking their heads.

As she took to the stage with professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec, they pulled out all the stops with their routine.

Viewers began speculating she might be an early front runner for the trophy too, after seeing what they had.

But Craig quickly critiqued the performance, claiming Clara's performance was "stumpy" and "poor".

Judges Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas praised the duo, and that showed with their scores of six and seven.

Craig, however, awarded the pair with a five - which many fans did not agree with.

With it only being show one, a five isn't exactly low or unusual - but viewers believed she deserved much higher, taking to Twitter to call him out.

One fan wrote: "She WAS NOT STOMPY - 5 from Craig is a joke #Strictly."

Another said: "#Strictly That was not a 5, Craig, you twazzock!!"

A third commented: "That was better than 5 Craig."

This was echoed by a fourth viewer who tweeted: "I think Craig was way too harsh on Clara, especially considering the fact that he has been fairly kind so far tonight. Clara entertained me."

Another agreed: "5? 5, Craig? Clara deserved more than that."
