Strictly viewers in tears over Giovanni's beautiful speech to Rose after issuing warning to bosses
Strictly Come Dancing viewers ended up super emotional as Giovanni Pernice gave a beautiful speech about his partner.
The Italian dancer has been paired with Rose Ayling-Ellie for this year's edition of the BBC One dance contest.
The pair have been wowing the judges every week and have become firm favourites among viewers.
Giovanni and Rose returned to the ballroom on Saturday night a week after making history on the show for the earliest ever perfect 40.
The pair performed a samba to Cinema Italiano by Kate Hudson and received a score of 32, their highest marking for a Latin dance.
After making it safely through to another week, Giovanni heaped praise on Rose, 26, who is Strictly's first-ever deaf contestant.
"She’s definitely the best thing that [has] happened," the 31-year-old told Claudia Winkleman. "I might be the dance teacher but this year I’m learning myself new things.
"This thing is not just about dancing, we spend so much time together. And I’m the one who is privileged to be dancing with you.
"So, thank you very much."
Rose quickly gave her partner a hug before they went off to celebrate making it through.
And it hit Strictly viewers right in the feels.
"I'll never see anything as pure and wholesome as Giovanni's speech to Rose tonight," a fan tweeted.
Another said: "Rose and Giovanni just hit me in the feels. I'm a bit obsessed by them #Strictly."
"Rose n Giovanni, I'm not crying, you are #Strictly," a third added.
A fourth shared: "No you’re crying at what @pernicegiovann1 just said to @RoseAylingEllis! I love them both! #Strictly."
But it was a nervous wait for the EastEnders actress and her pro partner as they were the last couple to be saved on Sunday night ahead of the dreaded dance-off.
And the stress left fans issuing a warning to bosses.
"Don't leave it late again to announce Rose and Giovanni going through to the following week," one said.
Another echoed: "Do not ever leave rose and gio that late again.. my heart was literally falling out my chest."
"MY HEART DROPPED. THAT WAS HORRIBLE. I could not think about Rose and Giovanni being in the dance off #Strictly," a third said.
A fourth commented: "Who thought it a good idea to leave Rose & Giovanni to last? My nerves are shot #Strictly
"Please NEVER leave Rose that long again, my blood pressure can’t take it," another begged.
