Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas upset viewers as she 'took a swipe' at host Claudia Winkleman on Saturday night.
Shirley dished out some strong criticism for The Crown actor Greg Wise after he performed the American Smooth with his professional dance partner Karen Hauer to That's Life by Frank Sinatra in the first live show of the new series.
Shirley praised his charisma but said he was missing 'fundamentals.'

"Too many missed ... you're on the wrong side of the body. The footwork is not in the right place," she pointed out.
"But you have to have the fundamentals for me," she added after pointing out that he had both talent and charisma.

Claudia's co-host Tess Daly said: "Shirley's being very tough tonight. It is only Week One. Personally, I'm loving this partnership."
And Shirley responded: "Week one, but we've seen some fundamentals. We've seen some, so it's important. It's important for me."
She then added: "Just a few. I'm not asking for a lot. Just a few."

After Greg and Karen made their way up the stairs to reflect on the performance and receive their marks Claudia commented: "I don't even know what a fundamental is but let's all get some."
And later, when Shirley delivered her comments to the next dancer actress Nina Wadia, she referred back to Claudia's remarks.
Shirley praised her for: "Fundamentals. I'll just give you three of them."

She noted that they could be "the way you place your foot", "leg action" and "posture."
Viewers were stunned when Shirley then turned to Claudia and said: "Claudia, those are fundamentals."
"Did Shirley have a dig at Claudia while she's meant to be judging Nadia?!" asked one Strictly fan on Twitter.
"What on earth's got into Shirley? Taking swipes at Claudia now," asked another.
"No need Shirley," commented a third.
"The lovely Claudia was extremely professional and didn’t rise to the comment. Me on the other hand was ..." and they added fuming-face emojis.
"Who put a pound in Shirley Ballas tonight?!" asked another fan.
But another wrote: "Claudia Winkleman had said she didn't know what the 'fundamentals' were.
"Shirley explained a few and then told Claudia what she'd meant. Nothing to see here."
