Strictly viewers devastated as they spot Dianne Buswell crying before dance off

Dianne Buswell was left in tears just seconds before the all-important dance-off during the Strictly Come Dancing results show on Sunday.

The professional dancer left viewers at home in floods of tears after noticing the Aussie star appeared anxious as she waited to find out who was in the bottom two.

Opening the show, the professional dancers honoured the centenary of the BBC with a special dance number – narrated by none other than Sir David Attenborough.

However, following the stellar performance, the professionals joined their celebrity partners as they waited to discover their fate on the show.

Host Tess Daly, 53, shared the news of who was sailing through to Halloween week, and which two couples would be in the dreaded dance-off.

Britain's Got Talent star Molly Rainford and her partner Carlos Gu were the first couple to be announced before Jayde Adams and her partner Karen Hauer and Dianne and radio DJ Tyler West were left wondering how they had placed.

However, Joe Sugg's girlfriend was visibly anxious as she wrapped her arms around Tyler's waist while tilting her head to look at the floor before Tess made the final announcement.

Viewers instantly noticed that Dianne appeared to be crying during the tense moments and flocked to Twitter to share their heartache.

"Dianne crying OMG I'm literally crying with her #strictly," tweeted one.

While a second added: "Lads, is poor Dianne okay? I feel like she needs a hot bath and a cuddle. #Strictly #scd."

"Dianne looked like she was going to be sick #Strictly," typed a third.

Before a fourth commented: "Dianne heavy breathing bless her, can they stop leaving her to last! #strictly."

However, Dianne's anxiety soon turned to relief when it was announced that comedian Jayde and dancer Karen were the couple being sent home after losing the dance-off.

Just moments after discovering her fate, Jayde said: "This has been the best thing I have ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave," before adding: "It has been an absolute pleasure working with you (Karen) and learning about so much that will go into my own stuff, in my own work.

"You are one of the most gifted people I have ever worked with Karen.

"And everyone on this show, said it to me, when I had you, they said 'you've got the best one' sorry everyone, and I did and you are fantastic and this has been such an honour.

"Not only have I got to be on Strictly Come Dancing but I got to have Karen Hauer, you are amazing, thank you for everything!"

*Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
