Strictly stars 'banned' from Instagram after posting naked fake tan snaps

By Neil Goulding

Strictly Come Dancing stars Adam Peaty and Tom Fletcher have been banned from Instagram before the new series has even begun.

Olympic medal-winning swimmer Adam and McFly singer Tom posed in a comical spray tan snap which left little to the imagination.

Tom carefully preserves Adam’s privates – and modesty - with his hand using a clever spot of photo wizardry, with the champion breaststroker grinning broadly in the background.

But Instagram took exception to the image and banned the pair for “sexual activity”.

Adam saw the funny side as he shared the image along with a crying-with-laughter emoji "Great, removed for sexual activity!" he joked.

However, Instagram’s strong message revealed: "Your photo was removed. We removed your photo because it goes against our Community Guidelines on nudity or sexual activity."

Adam added: "Mad how Instagram get to decide what I upload and what I don't. Community guidelines should be your community."

And the swimmer also decided to share the screenshot on Twitter and wrote: "It’s @bbcstrictly time! Hope this doesn’t get removed this time."

Singer Tom posted a comical image of himself holding up a black thong, which he and fellow star Adam had to wear for their respective spray tans.

And he joked: "The Strictly spray tans have begun…and yes, I wore these @bbcstrictly".

But the pair still found themselves in hot water just a week before the launch show the new series, which starts next Saturday 18 th September.

And it wasn’t just Tom and Adam who were revelling in their spray tan exploits, so was fellow contestant John Whaite.

John is set to star as one half of Strictly’s first all-male same sex couple.

And he had a spot of fun with his spray, posing a risqué snap pulling his thing down and exposing his tan line on his hip.

The TV chef and former Great British Bake Off star wrote in his social media post: "I came prepared and brought my own thong for the strictly spray tan.

“Nat and Marie made this boy feel at home while they scrubbed me and sprayed me in the shade of Venetian Plus."

Tom, Adam and John are three of the 15 new celebrities who are ready to star in the new series of the BBC smash show.

And there are also four new professional dancers this year and a new judge.
