Strictly stars all smiles as they head to launch show rehearsals for the first time

Strictly's latest celebrity contestants are in good spirits as they prepare for the big launch later this month.

Former X Factor star Fleur East, presenter Helen Skelton and comedian Ellie Taylor were all smiles as they headed to rehearsals in London on Tuesday [September 6], ahead of the much-loved BBC series returning to our screens once again in less than two weeks.

The trio joined the likes of Ellie Simmonds, Bros singer Matt Goss and retired footballer Tony Adams as they left a London hotel to head to the studio for the first time this week, amid reports the Strictly Come Dancing professionals have been working seven day weeks for months to make sure this year's series is a success.

Former Paralympian swimmer Ellie cut a casual figure in dark jeans and a vibrant orange T-shirt as she made her way to the dance studio, while comedian Jayde Adams also added a splash of colour to her outfit as she headed to rehearsals in bright yellow trousers and a cropped black top.

Following Jayde out of the London hotel, fellow comic Ellie, singer Fleur and Countryfile star Helen shared a giggle ahead of discovering just which dance they will be attempting to master over the coming days, with Fleur and Helen smiling as they linked arms on their way to rehearsals.

The three women all sported similar looks on Tuesday, with the trio all wearing fitness leggings and both Fleur and Helen both showing off their toned abs in cropped exercise tops and Ellie covering up in an oversized print T-Shirt.

Former Coronation Street co-stars Kym Marsh and Will Mellor looked happy to be reunited as they made their way to the dance studio together, with the Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps actor giving the cameras a thumbs up as the ex HearSay' singer flashed a big smile.

Singer Matt, 53, opted for a more formal look ahead of rehearsals, as he stepped out in pinstripe trousers, dress shoes, a smart dark jacket and his trademark trilby hat.

Arsenal legend Tony, 55, kept things casual in a pair of sliders, shorts and a T-shirt displaying the message: 'It's an inside job', as radio DJ Tyler West sported a similar sporty look in an all-black ensemble with matching trainers.

Molly Rainford, Richie Anderson, James Bye and wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza Yassin were also spotted looking in good spirits ahead of their first spin on the dancefloor with their yet-unknown professional dance partners, as Strictly Come Dancing prepares to return for its 20th series on Saturday 17 September.

The first sighting of the celebrity contestants comes as Gorka Marquez says he and the other Strictly Come Dancing pros work seven-day weeks to make sure the show is perfect, and also reveals he suffers from terrible insomnia and often only gets two hours sleep every night.

Speaking to OK! magazine, he said: "The pros don’t get a day off. Sunday is our resting day but then we have to choreograph and plan next week’s numbers."

The dancer - who is engaged to former Strictly contestant Gemma Atkinson - added: " "I know that for the next five months I’ll never switch off, just when I sleep. And sometimes I only sleep for two hours as I can’t switch off."

There's a big change to the pro line-up this year, with pro dancers Oti Mabuse and Aljaz Skorjanec having left the series. The BBC show announced that four new professionals would be joining the show.

European cup winner Vito Coppola , Chinese National Champion Carlos Gu , former Under 21 British National Champion Lauren Oakley and Latin dance champion Michelle Tsiakkas will all be taking to the stage.
