Strictly star Tyler West says his mum doesn't want him to move out of their shared flat

Glitterball favourite Tyler West won’t waltz off if he wins Strictly – because his mum wants him to stay with her.

The radio DJ, 26, moved back in with NHS worker Debs, 56, to save money.

And he revealed: “Debs is living her best life on the Strictly journey. She doesn’t want me to move out. Talk about the cost of living crisis!”

But the pair get along very nicely in Debs’ south London flat. And Tyler has nothing but praise for his mum, who brought him up with his brother, Lewis.

He said: “She has been a big rock in my life and my Strictly journey. She keeps my feet on the ground. But my mum is very proud. Even if I did the worst art in the world, she’d love it and hang it on her wall.”

Debs is not his only fan, as Strictly viewers are swooning over his routines with Dianne Buswell, 33. But Tyler said he has not had any racy fanmail.

And he dismissed rumours of a romance with Strictly star Molly Rain-ford, 21, saying: “I’ve been so focused on myself and dance I wouldn’t have time to date. If you see my schedule I don’t even have time to reply to a female even if they did message me.”

As for the future, he is hoping to work with A-list supporters Idris Elba and Craig David.

Tyler said: “Idris or Craig, now that would be the dream. I am manifesting that.”
