Strictly star tipped to leave show despite never having been in dance off

There's a clear favourite arising in Strictly Come Dancing as EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis has topped the bookies lists heading into week seven.

Rose is tipped to be the show's winner alongside partner Giovani, while BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker is tipped for the show's axe despite never being in the bottom two during his time on the show.

The Betfair Strictly Come Dancing 2021 winner odds have Rose Ayling-Ellis leading the way at 2/5 (was 4/7 last week) and unfortunately have Dan at 50/1, Rhys Stephenson and Tilly Ramsay both trailing behind too tied at 40/1.

Former Great British Bake Off star John Whaite is at 9/2 with Johannes Radebe, while Kai Widdrington and celeb AJ Odudu are at 7/1.

They are slightly ahead of Tom Fletcher at 18/1, followed by Sara Davies at 33/1 and Adam Peaty at 33/1.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Rose Ayling-Ellis wowed judges and viewers with a perfect Halloween dance, which scored her a maximum 40 points last weekend.

"So it is no surprise to see her as the strong 2/5 favourite to win Strictly this year.

“John Whaite is Rose’s closest competition at 9/2, while AJ Odudu, who scored 37 last time out, is 7/1.”

Saturday's show marks the halfway point of the current series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The programme continues on Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
