Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Natalie Lowe has opened up about feeling homesick.
The Australian dancer, who recently moved to Cheshire, says she's been missing her mum and dad 'like crazy' in a post shared with her Instagram followers.
She hasn't seen them since February, weeks before lockdown was imposed in the UK.
But her son Jack always manages to put a smile on Natalie's face and she shared a photo of her adorable baby boy on a walk to take in the local scenery.
"I’ve been missing my parents in Oz like crazy lately as not seen them since Feb but all I have to do is look at this little guy to cheer me up," she wrote.
She added next to the photo of Jack looking rather bemused in his baby carrier as he posed next to a horse: "Think it’s fair to say I was more happy to hang with Jack today than he was with me though?!"
With another photo, taken of herself smiling outdoors alongside Jack, the smitten mum said: "It’s grey, it’s wet, it's cold, Jack has thrown up on me twice already today and I’ve not showered since the weekend.
"How is it though that this boy can do no wrong in my eyes?!"
On Wednesday she beat the blues by taking her pet dog for a walk with them and he enjoyed a paddle in a lake.
"Fun fact, letting your dog go for a paddle in a lake will leave your carpets completely ruined when you get home," she said.
Natalie, 40, who competed on the flagship BBC show until 2016, is originally from Sydney and now lives just outside Knutsford with her husband and son and pet cockapoo Cooper.
She bowed out from Strictly to concentrate on starting a family with company director James Knibbs and the couple married in Australia in January 2018.
As Strictly launches this Saturday Natalie posted a throwback photo from the last time she was on set.
The snap shows her standing alongside Rylan Clark-Neal, the host of spin-off show It Takes Two.
It was taken just days before Jack was born in December last year at Manchester's Mary's Hospital.
"Strictly is back so here’s a picture of the last time I was on the set - with Jack born just a couple of days after this was taken!" she wrote.
"This is my ‘really hope my waters don’t break but if they do @rylan will probably make a great birthing partner’ smile."
Natalie lived in London while she was on Strictly and the couple lived in Leeds for a couple of years.
Her husband James' parents are from Stockport and they moved to Knutsford to be closer to his friends and family.
