Strictly Come Dancing star Neil Jones has hinted he is unable to trust women following the collapse of his marriage to Katya – according to one of his exes.
The 38-year-old flame haired dance professional was married to 32-year-old Russian dance star Katya in 2013.
However, the couple split in 2019 – several months after they endured intense media attention after Katya was photographed snogging her Strictly dance partner Seann Walsh, 34.
Now an ex of Neil has claimed that their relationship suffered as a result of Neil’s distrust – which the ex attributes to Katya and Seann’s kiss that happened while Neil was married to his Russian bride.
Columbian dancer Luisa Eusse dated Neil for five months last year after the BBC star’s marriage to Katya collapsed.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Luisa lifted the lid on their whirlwind relationship – and painted a paranoid painting of the Strictly star.
The 24-year-old said: “He was messed up by what happened with Katya — and it affected our relationship so much I felt he could never trust me.
“I sensed he was constantly anxious I was seeing other men and women or I may cheat on him.
“If I went out in the evening, he would wait up all night and then quiz me on where I had been, like he was my dad. It made him impossible to be with.
“I can understand it in some ways and you can’t blame him for still being bruised by Katya’s cheating but I couldn’t live with someone like that.”
Luisa and Neil dated between August and December last year after meeting outside a nightclub at 3am one night.
Columbian dancer Luisa – who hit the headlines last year amid reports her visa to be in the UK had expired – says she began her romance with Neil “just” after he split with Katya and he even started discussing marriage soon after their short-lived romance began.
Neil and Katya’s marriage began in 2013 but was rocked in October 2019 when she was photographed kissing Seann outside a pub in London after a boozy night out.
While the couple initially stood by their marriage, they announced in August last year that it was over – however they have continued to be friendly towards each other in the subsequent months.
Meanwhile, Neil declared at the beginning of this year that dating Luisa had been the “worst mistake” of his life.
Sources close to the star said at the time he was “embarrassed” at reports that Luisa was being investigated by immigration forces.
However, Luisa also hit out at the reports herself at the time, taking to Instagram to declare: “It's not hard for me you know, I don't give a f**k what they say because if you know the truth, and if my family know the truth, and my friends know the truth, I don't have to come out every single time.”
